We all grow up hearing stories. Some did us good and some most certainly did not. As young girls think of the stories we were fed. You need to find your prince, you're a damsel in distress, you need someone to rescue you, you can't do it on your own.
How on earth does that help us now? We all grew up in search of the man, looking for people to rescue us from life, not to mention to stories handed down from society or generations...life is hard, men are no good, money doesn't grow on trees. When you take a moment to examine what you really believe and then ask yourself are those stories and beliefs really true, and do they serve me?
I'm pretty sure you will discover they don't and most are not true, yet we operate our whole life from those beliefs and they are responsible for much of our upsets in life.
Letting go of stories and the meanings we give them, is one of the biggest things you can do to shift your life.
Have a listen as Debra Kasowski and I talk about how changing perspective and stories can change your life!
